Started with q2next1 - BAM homemap. Why do BAM like that map? Reason 1: many other clans hate this map. Reason 3: they have figured this map out. And almost forgot Reason 2: it's perfect for aimers, even despite there is no rail on this map. If you can overshoot your enemies + know the perfect tactics this map is your homeland. We see an example here. Poles were spawnraped every time they died. They had to throw a tonn of fresh meat on swedes in order to push them out of upper position. But once they gained the 'heights', they let it go pretty quickly because BAM can deliver massive damage even with sg/mg/grenades. (yes ... grenades ... watch fetson's demo and you see what I mean). Waiting to see BAM play vs Rage here. Could be a real thriller!
On dm2 things started a little messy. Insekt slept through the map start so BAM got the lift ... but lost it really fast. So they started gathering at quad. To my taste their actions there seemed quite amateur. I could read "and what should I do now" from the demo. Maq were standing pretty confident on RA but their attacks on quad seemed pretty week. They gave BAM enough room to operate and get weapons so even without a decent tactic BAM still could use their supreme aim. So the score stayed even for about 8 minutes. Then BAM gives away a quad. Maq runs the map and seems to relax just for a second and lets BAM pick the next quad. Then a double jump to RA (10 min) and maq is cought off guard with a quad-chaingun. cboy steps in his duty on RA. maq moved to quad but again gave a shitt-load of easy frags trying to regain RA posesion. The ending was very rich for action near RA lift and again BAM's aim (but with a railgun now) destroyed all maq hopes for a comeback.
PS: ping advantage by BAM must be also taken in consideration :)
fette (aka Papa Doc) demos are dm2 and next1 .
