Hello fellow quakers!
It is time to announce news about the playoff system. But first, I want to say big thanks to clans that have been active, played all their matches on time and not made a fuss about certain decisions we took this season (new and forces maps etc). You guys help keep the Q2 scene alive and (hopefully) make us a better league then some others which we don't mention by name. =)
The group stage must end by 21st of May. PLEASE PLAY YOUR MATCHES BEFORE THAT DATE. We don't want to kill the league and go too far into the summer. So play ALL of your group games that are left, because they WILL affect your position in the playoffs. You have 3 weeks left, that is enough to play the matches. Don't ruin this for yourself and others now, when it's about to get real interesting.
There will be 3 "divisions" advancing to playoffs. Two top clans in a group will advance to 1st "division" - 8 clans total - and they will fight for places 1-8 in the final table. Clans which are 3rd and 4th in the group will advance to 2nd "division" and they fill fight for places 9-16. 5th and 6th place in the group will go to 3rd division and fight for places 17-24. Rest of the clans will be entered to the final table by their group stage score. If you have a attention deficit disorder, here's the rundown of what I've just said:
** SIX best clans of every group will advance to playoffs, clans 1-2, clans 3-4 and clans 5-6. **
This is a big change. No more "winner of 3rd divison". In the end, there will be ONE division like in the group stage, one big final table of clans based on their performance in the group stage and playoffs.

And so on. With this new system you can really see how you match against other clans, both top clans and average clans. So even if you didn't do very well in the group stage - let's say you were 6th in your group - you still have the chance to up your position in the final table considerably. In the playoffs, you can finish either as clan #17 or clan #24. And you get to fight other clans in other groups that are on the same skill level as you.
You will have to play 3 games in playoffs (let's take 1st "division" as an example), round 1 which will determine if you play for places 1-4 or 5-8, round 2 which will determine if you play for places 1-2, 3-4 etc and round 3 which will be the final match deciding your place in the table.
The playoffs will begin 25th of May. You will have a few days only to get ready for the playoffs, so use the time wisely. Get your squad ready, practice like hell. All the "divisions" will be played simultaneously. Round 3 will be played so that the game for the highest place will be last (battle for the 3rd place before the final).
ALL MATCHES in the first two "divisions" must have admin(s) present. The league will end 8th of June which means you guys have exactly two weeks to play your 3 playoff matches. The pressure will be quite hard both on the players and admins, but I think we can make it.
