We decided to swap  v3 and  Solaris since both clans wanted to change divisions. This means v3 is now in Div 1, group B and Solaris is in Div2, group C. The schedule has been updated. |

Introduction
Welcome to the 10th season of EuroQ2L! After so many seasons, it's safe to say that you are about to play in the most prestigious Q2TDM clan league. The whole gaming world will be watching you so make sure to be on your best behaviour.
Schedule and groups
You can already see the groups on your right and the full schedule for the group stage will be added shortly.
The first round starts tomorrow Monday 15 September and the limit to play your matches is Sunday 21 September @ midnight.
Rules
Watch out! The rules have been rewritten/rearranged completely to make them clearer and there is also a couple of changes.
make sure to read them carefully!.

Here we are again with another season of our beloved European Quake2 League! 10th season's signups are opened from now until 5th of September, so slap your team captains to get your place in this great competition :). Clans of all skill levels are welcome, we will decide the number of groups and the play system depending on how the signups turn out. If anyone wants to create a new team for this league, you need to contact an admin. And last thing, the rules might change a little bit, if we will find any significant flaw.
EDIT:
Before you sign up, check your squad and remove inactive players. Player who will be active in more than 1 clan will be removed from both. Also don't forget to update your clan info with correct IRC channel.
EDIT2:
Due to some issues and requests we decided to prolong the signups for one more week. So signups will be closed on 12.09. and league will start 15.09. |

Now that EuroQ2L is over, we're going to enter a long Q2-free period called "Summer". Some people came up with the idea of restarting a Pickup Channel.
How does that work?
You enter that channel, type !add and the pickup bot will add you to the topic. When 8 people are added, the game is ready to start and you'll be directed to a server.
The poll
You can see a poll about it on the right. We can gain benefit of all the people already idling on #euroq2l and add the bot on that channel.
Or if you want #euroq2l to remain quiet during your Q2 hybernation, we can create a seperate channel for the pickups.
Finally, if for some reasons you don't want a pickup channel at all, you can also vote "no".

After half a year of intense battles, where group stage and playoffs showed who is really worth of fighting for the gold, we finally reached the time when the league is over. In division 2, overskilled met  OWNED and in quite one sided match showed that they deserve the gold. For third place there was a fight between  xeno and weDream, where xeno came out as a winner of 3rd place in div 2. In division 1, clan  HBQ have beaten play> in really intense and close match (don't forget to check demos in demosquad). Unfortunately there won't be any match for third place as both clans are unavailable / inactive. Here are the final standings:
Division I

3-4.  Wizards / elite sYnthesis
Division II
1. overskilled
2. OWNED

Congratulations to all the clans, thanks to every clan which participated in EQ2L #9, __d34d for taking care of GTV most of the time, D4Rus / Danka for providing the radio, all shoutcasters which made watching the match more enjoyable, all the people who were running scorebot on IRC, all the admins for their work during the season and all othe people who helped somehow, or were just whining at #euroq2l. Without you the season wouldn't be so enjoyable as it was! See you next season.
