Now when there is about a week left before league starts Ill write news about allowed servers. To say it simple, allowed server is a server which has anticheat.dll forced. So far we have managed to contact most of the serveradmins and they agreed to update their servers. Tho there are still few potential game servers which are not allowed at the moment, but we are trying to get them up to date.

Welcome to the 7th season of Euroq2l !
Introduction:
After a successfull 6th season, we decided to go further with this league and we also decided to stick to the same system. Never change a winning team they say.
A couple of changes need to be brought to your attention though, particularly about the rules.
Rules highlights
6.2 A game that is played with incorrect settings is not considered official and will not be counted as an Euroq2l game.
This means you should always check the settings (quad drop is off? bfg is on? powershield on dm8?) before typing "ready" in console.
8.2 Valid Q2 clients: , AprQ2 and EGL coupled with the anticheat.dll module (available on ).
Many people expected it, this season we decided to take stricter rules about anticheat.
You are no longer allowed to use outdated clients such as NoCheat or HolyWater and you MUST use the anticheat.dll module.
We are currently working in order to get as many servers as we can using this new protection.
Another changed rule is, If teams points are tied after groupstage. First comes map wins between those two clans, if it is tied, then net (frags - deaths) will count, which team will get higher rank. Because of this, penalty frags in w/o will change from -200 to -400
Sanctions:
1.4 Any behaviour taken by a player to intentionally harm the good happening of the league or one of its match can be punished with a sanction ranging from the warning to the definitive exclusion of the league.
This rule was already added last season, however I decided to highlight it in this news item because the Euroq2l crew decided to exclude 3 players from the league.
, and are not allowed to play with any clan in this season after breaking the rule mentioned above including bad behaviours towards the admins and other fellow quakers.
This league is organised by people who take their free time to do it, it's therefore understandable that those people don't want to do it for players who don't respect them or the job they do with this league.
Another note about player , he is allowed to play in Euroq2l but not allowed to be a clanleader. This is to make it easier for both the admins and the clans to keep the league running smoothly.
Conclusion:
Finally a last word before wishing you GL & HF with the league: our beloved and dedicated Head Admin will step off the "frontman of the league" spot. He will still help the crew but the new lucky man to whom you can direct all your questions and whinings is !

21st January 2007 was the day when Euroq2l-6 officially ended, even it was a week later than we originally planned I think five map finals were worth to wait. We were lucky enough to get awesome playoffs, which were full of surprises and many very even matches, including five map finals in every division and very exciting div2 and div3 semifinals with some surprises. The outcome of this league will look like this and congratulations to all clans who reached top3 and big thanks to other clans who participated.

Even this season just ended, we will have to launch new season as soon as possible. It will more likely start in few weeks so signups will be open very soon. There will be some changes and well post news about it later when we have talked things through. And if you have something in your mind what needs to be fixed in Euroq2l, now it is time to say it. But more info will come later, and we hope to see you all signed up when league is ready to start.

6th Euroq2l season is about to become to an end. A lot have happen and many interesting games have been played. How ever league started in the beginning of October and now little over 3 months later only four games are left to play. Or maybe 7, you can play bronze games too if you want, but if you cant find motivation to it we understand it.
7 teams are still fighting for 1st place in their division, and here are the Final pairs, and little overview about them.
Division I:
Final: Wizards [3]vs. Play [2]
Bronze: 2.0 vs tOk: will not be played
Division II:
Final: TAK! [3] vs. mdt [2]
Bronze: CD [3] vs IS [1]
Division III:
Final: H [3] vs. LmW [2]
Bronze: ecf [3]vs. nmt [1]
Division I:
Swedish play already advanced to the finals after beating 2.0 in three maps. They are getting their opponent from other semifinal pair, which is Finnish Wizards and Polish tOk. That game is delayed a week, mostly because of one persons working times, but we all can agree that semifinals deserve the best lineups from both clans. And I believe play have more flexible playing times so final will be played very soon after next Sunday. At least Im hoping so.
Division II:
Before the league there was a lot of fuzz who should be in Div1 and who shouldnt. TAK! has been dominating 2nd division in former leagues but still they found themselves in Div II. And again we see them in finals. Another clan who was left without 1st division place was CD. But they surprisingly lost against mdt in a playoffs thriller. So we see mdt in final with TAK!
Division III:
Overall Division 3 was totally controlled by two clans. NMT in Group A and ecf in Group B, but guess what, neither one of them is in finals. Two Group A clans surprised them in semifinals, which naturally were both 5 mappers. (what a lovely semifinals we have had). H raped ecf on dm7 (152-88) and that way won the 5th map. Also NMT got beaten in 5 maps and 5th one was dm7 which went to LmW 139-134.

Christmas is coming closer and playoffs are still on their way, so we are forced to keep quite a long break because of Christmas and New Year. But it doesnt mean that you are not allowed to play during the break. If both clans agree to play then go ahead and play. Just remember record demos and take screens. Final deadline for semifinal games is January 7th 2007. And deadline for finals is January 14th.
