First two rounds are now behind and some 3rd round games are also already played. All matches so far have been scheduled in time and clans have showed up to matches, we thank you for that and hopefully everything will go smooth in future. Tho we have had problems with some clans, but those are already yesterdays news so no reason to bring them up again. Also too bad polish connections seems pretty unplayable at times. Let's hope they get better and home/away rape games are over. But here are 3rd round games!

Unfortunately we have to give an official warning to 2 clans who failed to respect: the rules for one, and the league itself for the other.
Here are the two clans warned and the mistake they did:
- Plus: behaviour failure
- LmW: use of a player who was not on their squadlist by the time of the match.
The next time one of those two clans don't respect the rules or have abusing behaviours, they will be kicked out of the league.
Last thing: to prevent any further situations like the Plus vs. Play match, a new rule has been added:
"Any behaviour taken by a player to intentionally harm the good happening of the league or one of its match can be punished with a sanction ranging from the warning to the definitive exclusion of the league."

Yes, we are finally back! The Admin Crew was gathered last week and there is some new blood and some old, so we have enough knowledge and motivation to make this league work, but of course we also need your cooperation.
Yesterday evening, we set up the rules and defined the league format and we think we are now ready to go.
Here are some more informations about the league and some of the most important rules.
Signups:
Signups are a bit different this season than in previous seasons. This year the only way you can signup is to contact the Head Admins via IRC (we all can be found at #euroq2l on quakenet). This way we can remove signups from clans who are impossible to reach for match scheduling.
What do you need to signup?
o Minimum 4 players. o Decent internet connections to play around Europe. o Enough English skills to schedule matches.
Info you need to give when you signup:
1. Clanname 2. IRC-channel at quakenet 3. Clanleader and Wararranger 4. Country
Also make sure you have 4 players for the whole league, not just for the few first rounds. We dont want w/o's to mess up everything.
League format and rules:
We decided to go for a classic format to keep the league simple and smooth.
So first we divide the teams into divisions to avoid uneven games. Each division have 2 groups although I cant give you the number of clans per group yet since we dont know how many will join, but more likely 5 or 6 clans in each group.
All clans play against each other twice, so it means 8 or 10 games in group stage. Then the first 4 clans advance to the PlayOffs which are played with a single elimination system and all games are a best of 5 maps.
We also made some changes to the rules and here are the most important ones: (don't forget to read the entire rules though)
o Maps arent forced anymore and q2next2 is removed o The deadline to add new players to the squads is the first day of the 3rd round before the end of the group stage. Before that you must contact admin if you want to add new players! o If the clans cant pick a date in the given time, the admins will force the game. That date is the final, no changes are allowed after that. If neither teams show up then it is w/o penalty against both. o You are only allowed to spectate your teammates and must record demos when you spectate. o Cheating is still forbidden! Imagine that! We also added few new clients, which are Aprq2 and EGL.
If you notice that something important is missing, let us know. We are still only humans.
Once again, welcome to Euroq2l! Lets hope everything goes well and that lots of good fights will be seen.
Don't hesitate to tell all other quakers about this news to make sure we don't miss any active clan in this league.
We hope to see everyone who is active in it having fun! So with these words signups are open!
Last day to signup: 01.10.2006 at 21:00CET Beginning of the league: 02.10.2006
Have fun and good luck !
