Description

I wrote a better write-up but when I clicked 'save' it didn't actually save. admin panel here = D:

Damiah started out with control and got 3 kills on DaHanG during weak attempts to take back control. After a few mins DaHanG got control and the lead and held it for the rest of the game. This combined w/ some nice shots made it an easy win for DaHanG.

q2rdm2

Contrary to ztn3, Damiah had control almost the whole game. However, DaHanG didn't seem too interested in winning during the 2nd half :> Nice control by Damiah, especially w/ 120 ping, and some nice shots, easy win for Damiah.

Perhaps the most 'interesting' game and also the closest game. DaHanG had control for the majority of the match, yet couldn't get a great lead from making a few mistakes. (missing some crucial shots and jumps) Damiah on the other hand was hitting almost all crucial shots and was timing RA religiously. DaHanG managed to get a very nice ssg vs chain kill on him which gave him the lead w/ 1:30 left and for the win.

Damiah got an early lead by 1 pt, and then DaHanG answered right back w/ 2 more kills and also gained the lead. Damiah had control during most of this lead, but then DaHanG retook it and also got another kill lengthening his lead by 2. Damiah got 1 more kill, then eventually took back the lead w/ less than 5 mins left and kept control for the win.

Damiah got control in the beginning and also got 2 kills on DaHanG. w/ about 7: left, DaHanG answered back w/ 2 hyper kills within a minute and tied the game. DaHanG had an SD at 5:, which gave Damiah the lead. This turned out to decide the game with Damiah playing defense very well. Damiah began to lengthen his lead w/ less than 2: left, when DaHanG failed in an attempt to kill him.

For informational purposes, Damiah used timers in these matches and DaHanG did not. :<

	Dahang: Muerte, encourage Damiah and/or some other top Europeans to come to the Q2 lan in Orlando, Florida December 8th/9th. I've only played one European in Quake 2 on LAN, and I won. The burden is not on me to prove my skills. Nevertheless, there will be $2,000+ US on the line which is more than enough to cover the flight. Let's see how the games turn out with audio timers being disabled and LAN ping ;D.

	Although i can't say for sure, but based on activity the euro scene is far more active and much larger than the us scene, therefore there is more variety and activity to get that much better as a dueler or a clan. If you look at the current us scene, it's a damned struggle to get games played and you can even see with the ndml this season. How well do you think a player in the us can prepare vs a player like damiah who has much more experience in playing 1s? Pretty tough for hang... I'd be willing to bet it is far easier for a player to develop playing in europe than the us. Regardless, both are great players and damiah was just better on this day. Who really knows what would happen on a lan? They've only played this one time? Until there are games played with equal pings/ lan.. relax! Great game to both.

I'm relatively new to tdm and dueling and I can see this fact as plain as day. 1v1s are about focus, and if you aren't focusing on your enemy because you are listening for items and trying to count in your head, then you will not do as well as if you had a handy little visual and auditory reminder of the exact second that the item you want pops back up. 	Oh ok. Just checking what you were referring to. --well, if we're talking about 'all games', audio timers aren't allowed in most of all games, including q4, in which dahang is 'professional' in. I don't think that playing multiple games is an advantage. With timers you can focus primarily on battles and positioning opposed to listening for items respawning and using the gameclock. I believe that gamers that are on the top tier level dahang, damiah, etc, are more skillful if their primary focus is one game, opposed to many, being that all games are different

Sorry, but that's what happened. Look at the past comments. Also, my comment saying that DaHanG doesn't use timers was strictly for informational purposes, as I said. However, since you addressed that, I will say that there's also quite a big difference in people that play 1 game and people that play several games. "Quite a big difference" Indeed. Anyone who takes my write-up as a blow towards damiah is misinterpreting it. I thought it was a very gg, and I was just commenting on the ppl who were rude during the match.

	And now for something completely different... Did dahang play without timers as a way of evening out the ping difference or did he just not want to play with them? Also i kinda understand why some kids tend to flame when one of the best players from finland (population 5 mil) beats the best player from USA (population 300 mil) with 4x ping. That doesnt excuse the america-bashing but it certainly makes damiahs win seem even more impressive. Well played!
