Well another game... another "memory" for the diary :DD Damiah approached me on irc while i was doing my paper (speech class sucks!!!) and asked when can we play... DAMN man the last time i asked he said that he has to buy a new mouse... guess what? he did already! Unfortunately my lack of activity and his ping werent announcing anything special and i was quite certain before we even started :)
since he played with this crappy ping i decided that at least i would let him play his map 1st ;DDD ( yea i know, im the man.... NOT!); remember above all that these reports of mine are stricly subjective and only subjective opinions held by me u can only read my point of view on the games i played, nothing more nothing less
q2rdm2 damiah's 1st map... not so suprising since its his best map after dm1 and probably the only one he can manage a very high ping on very well... but it wasnt his performance that brought him the victory... it was my pathetic accuracy and basically bad game over all... he didnt show antyhign special on this 1 like he did vs dahang but he simply did what he was meant to do - use the chances that i gave him, and believe me i gave out plenty of them :)
ztn2dm3 time for my map :P the only reason that i wanted personally my map to be played 1st is the fact that i could shoot some to "start feeling the game" :DDD well after easy 9:0 lead of nothing impressive id say i died for the 1st time... but even then i knew that there is no chance for me to lose no matter what he does... simply his ping is to much for him or anybody else to "ignore" on this map.. even though the score is close the match wasnt close even for a second... there was a moment in my mind while i kept running at him that i had that stupid idea of pushing it further until we reach 18:18 right before the end... but i guess i wasnt so dumb at all :DDDD
q2dm1 dm1... the old dm1... map that i dislike dueling on so much... but this time i got a 2:0 lead and had a railgun right? guess what... i decided that it would be fun if i rushed some :DDDD... i rushed as hell... 3 rockets in my mouth :) and then he got the map and i thought its gg... tried some rg attacks few times... and one of them became succesful (this time damiah fucked it up) i took a small lead and started to rush again... and again i fucked it up and in effect forced myself to start playing some defence & at the same time to start embarrasing myself by standing on the top rl...(i didnt want to think :D just one thought was in my mind...to skip this so hated by me map and start another one:*)
ptrip ho ho fast map right? maybe not! i wanted to rush a lil but it wasnt my day, my aim sucked, damiah was playing smart and slowly and probably the only thing that was saving me was his ping... low score for a long time says everything... when finally i "came back" if u can say something like that about the game vs a guy with 100 ping on the "fast" map as ptrip is... was hoping that damiah will give up few times during the entire match but he kept it slow 'till the very end, yet this one was the only one that i really enjoyed playing :)
ALL IN ALL i knew even before the game that no matter what there is only one hero... and it was damiah; if he lost people would admire him for his ping and still good performance; if i lost people would hang me for losing against a guy with such a high ping and he would be crowned :) no matter what i tried to squize throught it and tried to play seriously here and then; however it was difficult, no matter how good is he that ping is like a kiss of death u underestimate him and hope for an easy game but eventually he plays very well and he aims very well with it :)
Demos I will upload my ptrip demo, since its the only one "worth" seeing from my pov i guess, and as for damiah... dunno what he will do :) anyway as soon as some of them appear on the demosquad i will post up the links here... so stay tooned!
