Because of more signups than expected we decided to increase the number of groups from 4 to 6. Else the groupplay would have lasted a lot longer than intended, because we primarily wanted it to eliminate the non-showers while seeding the top players moving into the playoffs.
As a result there are some changes to how we decide who moves on to the playoffs. This will be announced as soon as it is sorted out. Most likely it will be something along the lines of top 2 moving directly to the playoffs, while 3rd placed and maybe a couple 4th placed play for the remaining spots.

Woke up today to thunder and huge amounts of rain, so decided to write an article where I give a quick on the maplist, so players not familiar with some of them get an idea what they are all about.

Last night the admins sat down and discussed the outline for this league and decided to settle with a groupplay + double elimination playoffs layout, where games in the groupplay will be played best out of 3 and playoffs will be best out of 5.
In order to make this work as well as possible we decided to add 3 maps from the poll to the maplist instead of 1, so the maplist will be as following:

League start
The league will kick off Monday August 20th, and each round will last one week. Be prepared to be playing a game per week, and be sure to schedule your games with your opponents as soon as possible to ensure a smooth league.
Be available on IRC
Be sure to be available for both competitors as well as admins on IRC. This way it will be easy to schedule games, and admins can get a hold of you if there is information that they need to spread quick. IRC is also where the league will be run, so there is no excuse not to hang out in:
