France - Portugal: The .PT Revenge


France and Portugal, two countries who often suffers of bad connexions, they were already in the same group in the previous NDML and from there they became the best friends/rivals. France had won this derby the latest season and after many 'pcw' played against each other, it was the time for Portugal to take their revenge against an weakened France team.

Q2DM3 - The Frag Pipe Portugal's map / Server: WirePlay

Unfortunately for this map, France didn't have KErb (still having heavy connex probs) who usually does very good on there. Portugal had a nice combo of players with Shadow to keep the Rail and Alien (aka wik) to quadwhore this small map.
The game started off with a big advantage for Portugal when Alien took the very first Invul and Quad as well.
That little purple thingie fragged the whole french team at least 2 times... That was Alien's way to welcome his opponent on this map :)
[ Little funny action: Alien took also the second Invul but Voude threw him a grenade in the face from SSG and Alien did a triple backflip in the lava shouting "NOOBED NOOBED" =) ]
But France are the not the kind of guys to give up easily and quickly they took over the RAIL place and started to come back with many frags taken by Voude and Zaknafe1n.
At SSG, the portuguese were well settled and didn't let many chances to France to touch quads.
Despite the pretty big domination of Portugal, France kept fragging them a lot everywhere on the map but every minute, the reasonating sound of QUAD DAMAGE was the deadly bell for frenchies.




Q2DM5 - The Pits France's map / Server: WirePlay

Promising map, France had beatten Portugal on it last season but Portugal did very good on it against UK this season.
France had the best start with Zak taking the first quad and saSHOCK securing the RA-ROOM. Unfortunately, a funny but unlucky thing happened to France: Voude didn't notice the skin switching and kept killing and shooting his own teammates for the first 2 minutes. (80137 code detected tbh)
But after he realised his mistake he took a great breath and started to frag the right guys this time.
Shadow and Alien were guarding the Rail-Quad Arena pretty well and it was hard for France to take a Quad during the first 10 minutes.
Afterward the situation changed a bit and Voude and CainE managed to break through the zone while Portugal gathered at RA-Room. There we could see funny actions by saSHOCK.
There was 3 .pt people there and then you see saSHOCK coming in the room with a machinegun only and focusing on only one player just like a leech he couldn't release him and killed him. This wasn't enough to prevent the Portuguese to tool up with RA though and they kept increasing the score.
During the last 5 minutes, CainE started to be on fire and did several destroying quadruns but he didn't have enough time to come back at the score.



Conclusion

A very nice match, despite a bit of bad luck for France both maps were quite close. Alien was impressive and deserves to be mentioned. GG and let's hope you both will meet each other again soon.
