Well as I turned up late for this game im not sure how ahrd the server negotiiations were, but when I finally did turn up
we had one change of server and we were ready to start. All pretty easy for an admin so far and now all I needed was a quality game to round of the evening perfectly......and boy did I get one, dm2 was areal scorcher, from the start ee took control of the RA lift while the UK weer quite content with taking the quads, after a while though EE managed to start taking the majority of quads too with eni doing a good job on the MH lift proving a way to kill and get to quad. EE started to pull away but UK kept he score managable I thought it was all over for the UK (being UK captain I wasnt pleased about this!) but then at about half way the game swung as orion managed to take teh RA lift forma stubborn EE team and UK managed to claw their way back into it, with about 3 minutes to go
however EE had a 13 frag lead (their biggest since the start of the game) but UK turned on the style and in the last minute the scores remained pretty even with every spectator wondering who would get the next quad, it was EE butt fortunatly for the UK he was killed by a BFG before he could do any damage, this left UK with the RA lift and railguns and they ended up winning 92-89.
Next I couldent wait for DM8 and it didnt dissapoint, although the ned score wasnt quite as close as DM2 the game throughout up untill the last 3 minutes was, the scores were even again through msot points with EE doing an excellent job at the PS often having 2 players there to kill any UK advances towards it, unfortunatly for both teams no 1 player managed to keep their PS for any substantial amount of time (apart from Pegleg for a moment) which meant the map was almost played withuot this powerup,
due to this control of the HB area swapped hands quite a bit (more than UK would of liked) and the fights at RG were constant, UK got off to the best start and built up a 15 frag lead before EE bulldozed through the UK team to bring the scores back to within 1, the scores then went up together for the rest of the game (EST drew level with 6 mins to go but never actually took the lead all game), but in the last 3 minutes UK again managed to pull out the rails to stop the EST challenge, the score ended 112 -91 to UK.
Well, this was a very important war for the UK to win as they lost to UKR in the first match and their nerves held tight at
the end of both maps, 2 great games to watch but probably hell to play in, very open but with both teams trying to use tactics, very nice to spectate and both teams were alright to the admin, so what else could I ask for.
