Sweden's map on a US server: q2dm3

Average pings: USA 19 / SWE 118

The map started in Sweden's favor. They got both the invulnerability and quad (iirc) and after a few minutes the score was 15-1. PURRI was controling the rail area, bubkez was hanging around the rocket launcher and rail area while slonken and ph tried to get a hold of the ssg/quad area. If you take a look at the screens you can see that these last two had a hard time over there. Why? I think most of you (Polish readers just KNOW) can guess: The Polish Stars and Stripes / SCOOBY was around. He played his game like always did: timing weapons, getting powerups, taking care of his teammates and fragging like an unleached raging bull. Yes, he for sure did a lot of damage to the Swedes, took a fair share of quads and never gave up. Even though there were some successfull quadruns and at some points the USA team made some frags in a row, they never managed to lock down the map: Sweden's aim and teamplay was just too good. PURRI controled the rail area for the whole game and didn't let the Americans take advantage of their low pings. All in all the Swedes just had a little more of every important factor (excluding the pings) in a quake2 TDM game: skill, teamplay and experience. I have to add that Scooby lagged out for about a minute in the middle of the game, but he didn't get killed and continued playing without problems for the rest of the game.

USA's map on a European server (Telenet): q2dm2

Average pings: SWE 38 / USA 134

USA got the RA at the first spawn and SWE got the quad. After a short time the Swedes took over the lift and started their game. bubkez set up his tent and PURRI provided him with rockets and got rails and bfg's in return. At the quad slonken did a good job, mainly thanks to ph at the RL LIFT (who had the hardest time of all the Swedes). High pinging USA didn't really have a chance on this map. Only Scooby managed to do some real damage and seemed to have a great time with grenades and ssg at the quad area.
