When Croatia couldn't field four players at the scheduled time (19cet) Finland agreed to wait untill they would. It all ended out in more then 4 hours waiting, but finally the game started. :: First map: q2dm1 (Finland's choice) ::The game was even for the first ten minutes. Both teams couldn't really control any area and played FFA most of the time. After those close ten minutes the Fins started the classic railrape. At a point all of their players had a railgun (thanks to raskal) and started to make a huge amount of frags. Damiah took up his usual route from the arena to the megaroom, hitting a lot of rails and trying to avoid deaths. provi did the harder work and tried to keep the room safe. The Croatians didn't hesitate a second to attack it via the lift, where Dimmo had a hard time. Once again the railgun was the key to the win on this map. The Fins played the game very 2007: lots of slugs and very good aims. Man of the map: DamiahDemos::: Second map: q2dm7 (Croatia's choice) ::Croatia's dm1 tactic - attack/die/attack/die/attack/die - worked out a lot better on this map. Finland got the best start with RA and some lucky spawns. Immediately the Croatians started attacking all the positions with any weapon they could find. This resulted in a lot of deaths on their side, but also in some nice blaster frags. Their tactic wasn't very conventional: once they captured an armor they went fraghunting. The leading man was necro. He looked like he was on speed and never stopped pushing his +attack and +forward button. There was never a moment of rest for the Fins who tried to get a hold of the map but got kicked out of their areas time after time. Damiah was the only Fin who could keep a positive score throughout the game, by playing defensively and sneaky. The Croatians showed some awesome timing skills and played very solid as a team. Their endurance was the key to this mapwin. Man of the map: NecroDemos::: Third map: q2dm3 (Finland's choice) ::The good spawns were Finlands' and they got both the invulnerability and the quad. After some minutes they already had a lead. Croatia now tried to get a grip on the map and managed to take over rail. Provi was blocked by dx and couldn't start his usual thingie, in other words: " provi.fi was railed by dx". At the quad Damiah was the man to spectate. His played very smart, took a lot of quads and showed a nice ssg aim. Foen was playing the hardest position: ssg. He had his hands full with necro who played very agressively again. Most of the quads still went to Finland and they finally managed to clear rail and gave provi the opportunity to get on track. So he did and Finland locked down the map. At that point the game was over. The Croatians put some more pressure on the ssg area, but never controlled it for long. All the pents (unless i missed one) and most of the quads went to Finland. Eventhough the Croatians were a threat in all the areas and eventhough they fragged a lot Finland's lead kept growing. In short: maxy.hr tripped on his own grenade. maxy.hr was blown away by Dimmo.fi's super shotgun maxy.hr does a back flip into the lava. maxy.hr: fag pipe >(Man of the map: DamiahDemos::: Last map: q2dm1 (Croatia's choice) ::On this last map we saw more or less the same scenario as on the first. A close game in the first half which ended out in a railrape in the second half. Indeed, raskal did an awesome job at rail and provided everyone with slugs. Croatia did their best to keep attacking but just couldn't fight up against the Finish aims. Man of the map: raskalDemos:Congrats to Finland who showed a very sportive attitude and waited a few hours untill Croatia had 4 players. Good luck in the bronze and gold finals!
