The preview (written by Gerdt) :
For the 5th time NDML has reached its last stage. For the first time in q2-history Sweden isn't the strongest team (or were they just unlucky?) anymore. Did they get bored of winning over and over again? Or are they spending too much time at WOW?
Anyway,enough about Sweden...
The new top two of Europe (read: of the world) is now Finland and Poland.
The Polkas have the most active scene with more then 20 (!) active TDM servers, where guys are playing 24/7 as if the game was released yesterday. Masses of WPN are dropped along with an unmatchable flood of smilies and teammessages. New players get trained to be the best in a short amount of time and all know how to watch their asses now when NMY QUAD's are announced.
Poland has for sure the most anxious scene around and they keep cloning new good players who have their own league to compete in (3 divisions - 23 clans). Most of them follow Polish teamcaptain Scooby as example, resulting in very good teamplay.
And no no no, no more fooling around with them when chosing servers! Polish connections got a lot better, so the tactic to own them with a huge pingadvantage is now offcially over! On paper Poland's team is based on a mix between synth and aK players.
However, in their their official matches mostly sYnth players get to play. Poland's lineup will probably be like this: Scooby - Ibogine - MorphX - Assasin, the best lineup i could imagine for them. They have a very strong teamplay on all maps and now also good pings on non-POL servers. My guess about the maps would go to dm2/dm5 and dm6 for Poland.
Finland, replacing Sweden as new railho3team will probably chose dm1/7 and dm3. Their lineup is quite impressive with Damiah - provider - deuce - thaigo as best team. The Fins will do their very best untill the bitter end. The Finnish scene looks more active nowadays, they have 6 clans playing in leagues. Their NT players are oldschool and have the experience a succesfull team needs.
There's a huge contrast between Poland and Finland, but also a lot of simularities. Poland seem to take it more easy and with less stress then the Fins in official games, which might be an advantage. Both teams really want to get their first NDML title, now that the way is open.
Good luck!
