Description
I came about just to catch the teams as they were warming up, and maps and server were already decided so we were only waiting for the last Polish player to connect before kicking off. The lineups were pretty much what I expected; Poland played with their experienced 3M-players except that the rail-master Lukah played instead of Assasin. For the Ukrainian side the team was purely TAK! players, with familiar names for those who have followed Ukraine's adventures in NDML the recent years.

Biplan
Blaizz
Muhaha
Smoke

After a short warmup and serversetting votings, the game was ready to start.

The Polish team immediately took control of this map, I'm not sure who got the first quad and invulnerability as I was setting up my scorebot, but as I came into the game the Polish side had the Quad base under full control. The main quadrunner for Poland was IbOgInE who did a very good job, he was dodging very well in close-combat versus the Ukrainians who fired rockets and slugs towards his sorry ass, but they hardly hit him. Lukah had the rail covered, but this was the position the Poles had the hardest job holding, but he got good help from Cleaner and morp-x, as well as Ibo's frequent quadruns, so even though the position wasn't held for the entire game the Ukrainians never managed to use it as a base to build up a counter-attack. As IbOgInE took pretty much all quads, the rest of the team demolished the Ukrainian team with their railguns, and when Ibo took down two Ukrainian players hiding up at invul on his quadrun, it was pretty much the same as saying: sorry Mac, this map is mine. There weren't anything they could do to prevent the slaughter though, they managed to steal a couple quads throughout the game, and even though IbOgInE did a direct lavadive after getting quad, the Poles just kept increasing their lead throughout the game. Poland is looking very strong on q2dm3 with this lineup.

This is a strong map for the Ukrainian team, with Blaizz always doig well with quad and Smoke really knowing how to hold the rail-area. But they were facing a well rounded Polish side who are no strangers to this map at all, with IbOgInE of course focusing on quad, and Morph-x really showing how to control the BFG-position without dying too often. So everything was build up for a good game of quake 2. And it began fairly chaotic with some friendly frags and quadruns not really succeeding doing much damage, but as soon as Poland got their players into their respective positions they got a lead. Cleaner and Ibo focused their effort on the quad, while Lukah tried to hold on to rail and morph-x was battling with muhaha over the BFG spawns. It soon became apparent that the BFG was out of bounds for Muhaha, and their quadrunners biplan and Blaizz were having a very hard time getting the quad as Ibo and Cleaner always were well prepared for their sporadic attacks. Lukah and Smoke had a 1v1 battle going on over at rail throughout the game, and even though Smoke managed to run the Red-Armor to Rail route well for a bit, he was having trouble with the quadruns constantly storming through the area. Biplan managed to break the Polish quad control with good help from Blaizz and got 2-3 consecutive quadruns that all were quite good, but they we're still behind on the scoreboard as everytime they spawned near the BFG/outside area or rail, they faced a well placed slug. IbOgInE wasn't having the same successrate of his quadruns as he had on q2dm3, he was constantly put under pressure by Ukrainian players who just wouldn't let him be alone. But Cleaner lived up to his name, always making sure the enemies attacking quad were constantly low on health. There were a couple Ukrainian quadruns that tried to clear the BFG area and successfully so, but everytime they had it cleared, Moph-x came back with a bigger and meaner gun to re-take it. So, deservedly the Poles won the game, but the Ukrainian team did put up a better fight here.

Very smooth game, no delay and no whining whatsoever, so a pleasure just to spectate while trying to figure out what position each player was trying to hold. So big thanks to players from both sides. And look out for Poland this season.
