About R1Q22005-01-27 12:40 | Gravgon
From now on, all the players in this league are allowed to use this new Q2 client.

However, the client is not supposed to be an anti-cheat (although it actually gives a better protection than NoCheat) and few bugs and problems remain so NDML won't enforce the use of R1Q2.

PlayOff tree update2005-01-18 06:19 | Gravgon
As they are still problems with the PlayOff table on the website, I've updated the schema I had made.

2nd group stage schedule2005-01-08 11:58 | Gravgon
The schedule is only and you can check it in the schedule section.
However the dates aren't correct (I've got to beg for Claymore's help again).

The correct dates for the rounds are:

Round I: Now -> 16 January
Round II: 17 January -> 23 January
Round III: 24 January -> 30 January
Round IV: 31 January -> 6 February
Round V: 7 February -> 13 February

Let me remind you that all games can be postponed if both teams agree, when a game is postponed, it has to be played before the deadline of the next match round.

Don't forget to tell me the date of your match in query on IRC when you have arranged it.

PlayOffs and 2nd Group Stage2005-01-02 15:30 | Gravgon
I hope you all have had nice Christmas and New Year feasts. We are back on some more serious things now.

The PlayOffs pairs have been decided randomly via an IRC script and here they are:

Sweden vs USA
Finland vs Ukraine
Germany vs The Netherlands
Poland vs Belgium

You can find the PlayOff schema -> HERE

Explaination:
The PlayOffs are Double-Elimination, which means there is a winner-bracket (where all teams start) and a Loser-Bracket.
At the first stage of the playoffs, the teams that lose the match are placed in the Loser-Bracket tree. The winners of those match meet the next teams that are kicked out of the Winner-Bracket.
The winner of the Winner-Bracket has a place in the Grande Final while the winner of the Loser-Bracket must meet the winner of the 2nd group stage...

You are lost?

That's because I forgot to speak about the 2nd group stage... The teams that didn't make it to the playoffs are placed in two new groups for a second group stage running in paralel with the playoffs. At the end of those group matches, the two winners of each group meet in a final. The winner of that mini-final meets the winner of the Loser-Bracket with a handicap of one more best of 3 to win.

To sum up:
If you are in the playoff and you win all the winner-bracket: you have your place in the grande final and you must win only one best of 5 maps to win the NDML.
If you are in the playoff and you win all the loser-bracket: you must fight against the winner of the 2nd group stage (only one best of 5 maps to win) to have your place in the grande final where you will have to win 2 best of 5 maps.
If you aren't in the playoffs and you win the mini-final of the 2nd group stage: You have to fight against the winner of the Loser-Bracket (1 best of 5 to win + 1 best of 3)

The groups for the 2nd group stage have also been decided:

Group Alpha:
Lithuania
UK
Austria
Czech Republic
Slovenia

Group Beta:
Croatia
Estonia
Chile
France
Italy

The first round of the playoff AND the first group match must be played before the Monday 17 January (the schedule for the group matches will be put online soon)
