Thus, us awaits the match between the winner of two last EDL, by the best duel player of Europe on quake2, Damiah and by the conqueror of the latter season RDL and UDL - Blaizz.
vs
Let's remind, that Blaizz unique who has managed to defeat Damiah on one map in EDL3... It was not possible even for Purri!
The scheme of organization of Show-games:
Winner will be certain from best of 5 maps. Maplist: q2rdm2, q2rdm7, ptrip, q2dm1, q2dm3, q2duel1, q2duel5, ztn2dm2, ztn2dm3. Each player must eliminate 2 maps from this maplist. Player who was start elimination will choose the first and the third played maps, another player will choose the second and the fourth maps. If will 2:2, fifth map will played.
Considering, that each player will eliminate two maps, it is possible to make such forecast:
Blaizz eliminate ptrip and rdm2, Damiah eliminate ztn2dm2 and q2dm3. After that there are following maps: q2rdm7, q2dm1, q2duel1, q2duel5, ztn2dm3. Most likely on 100 % will be played q2dm1 and ztn2dm3, and here two more maps are hidden by a fog - they have identical chances to be the chosen players. My forecast: 3:1 in favour of Damiah.

In the first! Many thanks Daelmun for the help with translation of this review on English!
Blaizz has shown a simply brilliant game in this tourney! I am pleasantly suprised... But is there a reason to be suprised? For the last couple of years Andrey has grown into a player belonging to the top level, not only in Ukraine but also in Europe. Excellent tactics and equally impressive aiming skill, combined with the ability to play very well with high ping - those virtues are the main reason why Blaizz already can play equal with the best players in Europe.
You're probably intrested in how the maps were chosen? As you remember, I made the decision that the players could eliminate the opponent's strongest maps, but this was done without taking into consideration the fact that these games were supposed to be show-games. Naturally, with that in mind, the more reasonable approach was that each player could play on his strongest maps. After all that's what's most intresting for the spectators. I am happy that both players came to the same conclusion and made the logical choice of going along with this approach.
Blaizz's maps -> ztn2dm2, q2dm3
Damiah's maps -> q2rdm2, ptrip Deciding map (if needed for a 5th game) -> ztn2dm3
The order the maps were gonna be played: ztn2dm2-> q2rdm2-> q2dm3-> ptrip
Now let's write about the games in greater detail.
ztn2dm2 This is Blaizz' strongest map. I don't even remember the last time he lost a game here, but maybe you do? This game was
Damiah's chance of getting revenge for his loss on this very map in their previous meeting in EDL3. But it turned into another fiasco for the Finnish player. What lessons to learn from this game?
Purri is best advised being extremely well prepared on this map if he doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of Damiah ( Purri and Blaizz are playing in the same group in EDL4). Final result-> 9:2 in favour of Blaizz -
q2rdm2 Wake up Damiah in the middle of the night, plant him infront of a computer and force him to play you on rdm2 :) Do you think you will have a chance at winning? I do not think so. His extreme ability to predict the moves of and to counter all possible actions of his opponent is what characterizes Damiah. And on a map like q2rdm2 he can utilize his clever play and ability to predict his opponents actions, like the true master he is. As the screenshots show, a map where Blaizz had no chance-> 18:4 win for Damiah -
q2dm3 Personally I really enjoyed the game on this map. A very tense and close game that turned into a duel of two minds: both focused immensly on not making any mistakes. In the first half of the game Damiah had a slight advantage and lead some frags. But in the second half of the game, the table was turned and Blaizz didn't let his chance of comeback slip away. He managed to force Damiah on the run, making him slow down his game hiding from the chasing
Blaizz. As a result the game went into overtime. But in the overtime Blaizz made one crucial mistake which proved to be fatal, quite possibly it was a result of pressure from Damiah. If you want to watch the demo to see what happened with your own eyes, I will not go into further detail-> a must see! Those who saw it live will know exactly which moment I have in mind. The result-> 7:5 in favour of
Damiah -
ptrip Everything pointed towards this map being the last one: this is the map where Damiah tears almost all opposition into peices. Who could possibly fight back? It turned out Blaizz could put up quite the fight, he struggled like a lion throughout the game. In cases like this the final score doesn't give the correct picture of how close the game really was. Result-> 24:5 in favour Damiah -
