The started last week, and the first round matches have been played. The maps for the first round were q2dm2, q2dm7 and q2dm1 as a decider if a third map was needed. There were no big upsets, but there were a few blowout matches, one 3 mapper and a Euro clan showing how it should be done:
Divison A:
|D2| [0:2] [2c] (q2dm2/q2dm7) []
[BTF] [0:2] sYnth (q2dm2/q2dm7) []
[vA] [0:2] HDTP| (q2dm2/q2dm7) []
Division B:
{SX} [0:2] FoJ| (q2dm2/q2dm7) []
(q2dm2) +plus [1:2] |D| (q2dm7/q2dm1) []
for a closer look on the league and some of the games.

Big thanks to Sean for his work.
infamous leaves:
Unluckily the clan infamous left the league before it started, they had some internal problems when signing up and never seemed to be able to resolve them. They were in Division B, but will not be replaced.
ROUND 1: a closer look at a few games:
|D| vs +plus:
+plus suffered from major problems with their connections, resulting in heavy packetloss on the chosen server. However, that didn't stop them from taking home the first map in a convincing manner. They really ruled the quad area with what Dev!ne captain |D|Randypants described as a 6 player team. Good teamplay secured the win. On q2dm7 Devine proved to be the strongest in the end, maintaining a lead throughout the game, never really letting the Slovenians catch up. Was still close, and a whole lot of hpb-blastering going on. Q2dm1 started out strong for Devine who held on to mega and had rail well covered. Then halfway through +plus got the mega locked down, and slowly locked down the map. If it had lasted a few minutes longer they might have ran away with the win!
FoJ| vs {SX}:
Where as the previous game was a close encounter, this one turned out to be completely loopsided, and showed how uneven the North American TDM scene is. {SX} is not a very well rounded clan when it comes to 4v4s, and it showed. When one of their players went afk during the first map, and never returned it could only go one way. Too bad, but hopefully we will see better games from these guys in the future. FoJ got a good team going on, but can they defend their title from last season?
HDTP| vs [vA]:
[vA] is one of oldest remaining clans in North America, and faced a strong opponent in the Swedish mix-team Harry Disabled (the) Players (HDTP), consisting of players from the two active Swedish clans [HBQ] and [CD]. The Swedes along with the Belgium one man team Gerdt managed to outplay the [vA] team on q2dm2, allthough the Americans had a couple strong players missing ( Kickr0 and Flarez for instance) I think the result would've been unchanged if they were around. As a proof of that, the Swedes won q2dm7 as well, where HDTP|Stuff showed how the map should be played! Will they be able to step up to the ping-challenge and defeat sYnth.usa where a rusty Scooby reigns supreme?
