Most of you know Bubkez as a player or a movie maker. But he also builds Q2 maps and it seems he wanted to remind us of that.

Overload is a map conceived for TDM 4on4, it's been betatested for a couple of weeks by various players and it's now available for download. Feel free to give your impressions in the comment!

New map after 10 years, sounds interesting, on the screens it looks nice, but is it playable? And it is DM map rather then 4x4...

There is like hundreds of duelmaps out there and only dm1-8 + next1 as playble tdm mapps, just about time to get a new tdm map for the leagues now.

After looking pogo's demo, I have better feeling of the map. But still, I think it's too big, and one particular place is disposable IMO. Pogo haven't visited that place in whole his game, and it seems one will be there around only if he gets spawn or runs from somebody. It's whole area(hallway and tunnel) in the far side of megahealth keep, it in someway connects further-RL and mega. That whole corridor/hallway is huge, and quite empty, some shards and health around and poor weapons besides(shotgun and machinegun). These further-RL and hallway areas seems to be no action place at all, too big and too shallow IMO. On the other hand, if these places were removed, or redesigned - too have mega and further-rocket launcher more near each other, map in my eyes would become better emo I like QUAD, RA/RL, RG areas, lots of action there, though what goes further beyond mega keep is unnecessary from my perspective. Quad runner's last objective could be mega, and that's all, the map should have it's end there.

I would like to see small duel maps like ptrip instead of new tdm maps since there are so many out there.

Like Spam said the changes make it a LOT faster, with the lift from railarea you can get to RA/quad in seconds. I uploaded a mix 4v4 to demosquad (http://q2scene.net/ds/index.php?op=dd1&id=1169334975) and when i watch that game i dont think it feels too big. Sure you gotta keep moving, and its a bit low-scoring, but i think that will change once people start learning the map. It just has unusually many ways to get around, for example there are 3 ways to attack quad, and 4 to RA. Imo this makes the map very dynamic and hopefully allows for some good strategic play in real clanwars.

well after 10years all maps r to small for todays q2

this map fits in newq2age and is big enough for highfps q2 and looks very playable

xed: Its not the same as weeksd ago. Its little smaller now and few tunnels/rooms from dowstairs is removed. Also the "rail-area" is changed.

The map seems big at the first impression.
Once you start to know it the map shrinks by 3/4.

I dont like it. Well I dont like bupkez neither, but thats not the reason. =>
There are billion of maps which are much better for a tdm games. And of course thats my personal opinion, about the map.

A friendly tip for first-timers: try to learn the upper levels of the map before you learn the lower levels. Much easier imho.

Been testing different versions of this the last week and i think this one is a very nice 4v4 map. Just hope people will give it a chance since it needs a few games to really show its best side. Once you realize how to get around you can play some very nice games on it. Good job Bubkez!

ps. If you are or know a server admin, please try to add this to as many servers as possible so everyone can try it out with good pings!

Yeh the map feels really big in the beginning but when you start to get a feel of how its played its not big at all. This map allows some really nice team play also and its fun as hell. I would really like to have it in the next season of eq2l no doubt, lets hope people are open minded and plays the map until they get a hold of it before they judge it.

My personal review of that map: it rocks! It will seem very big at first but once you see how all rooms are connected you realise it's easy to get from one room to another. The map allows great 4v4 tactics and I can see it played with a "dynamic" teamplay.

I hope you will all like it so we can include it in next eq2l emo
