We know the second semifinalist of the eighth season of the Nations Deathmatch League (aka NDML), that is Sweden.
Yesterday the quarterfinal between Sweden Russia was played. As always in the playoffs, each team picked two maps, giving the total of 4 maps. Sweden picked q2dm1 and q2dm3, while Russia chose q2dm2 and q2dm8. However, GTV spectators watched only three maps, as fourth map wasn't needed to reveal the winner.
NDML's quarterfinal: Sweden vs Russia
:: q2dm1 - 284:48
:: q2dm2 - 219:38
:: q2dm3 - 229:63
We experienced something very similiar to what Finland had done in their game against Lithuania. Sweden outscored Russians with more than 150 frags advantage on each map leaving us with no slightest doubt about who deserved the spot in the semifinals. The scores are pretty high, but they can't compete with the listed on forum. Anyway, one can say, quoting MK's saying: Flawless victory.
The game has proved Sweden, along with Finland are top-class TDM teams, which both sure aim for the golden trophy and it wouldn't be a surprise if the both teams were going to meet each other in the grand final.
As the result of the game, Sweden awaits for their semifinal's opponent (winner of Poland vs Brazil) and Russia places top8 in the tournament.
Remaining games:
:: Poland vs Brazil
:: Estonia vs Ukraine
Both are yet to be scheduled. | |
