October has come, and so came the time to start Russian Duel League #4!

All players who speak russian are welcome. We will also have 2 intives: Damiah and CAREEM.

No regular qualification groups will be used in favour of 'russian bear-powered system', which is 'lite' version of swiss chess system. Another new is that each player will get twice more points for any win vs Damiah!
After qualification there will be full-single playoffs different divisions.

Maplist is the same as EDL, but with koldduel1 instead match1. This way we hope that kold will make a final realise untill 20 october, when the league will start. The only note is that player can pick the same map just twice during qualification.

So if you speak russian and want to take a part in RDL, then just press SIGN UP and get your best shape in these 2 weeks left till the start. And of cause everyone are welcome to check out for games and results. hf.

we had our own reasons to do such way and no other. if anyone is really interested you can ever ask me, but it's a pretty long story emo so pick priv.msg or at least irc.

I agree with Pogo and Muerte (strangely enough :p). I think it would be better to make a regular RDL league with only Russian players and then an exhibition match: winner of RDL vs winner of EDL, and winner of RDL vs winner of BDL (CAREEM thus).

The way it is right now, it's very likely that Damiah will win the league. Doesn't it sound weird if a Finnish player is the winner of the _Russian_ Duel League?

But i has very good connection in side of Russia.
99% of zamkadishei (outside of moscow RU-ppl) has more bad connection (and ping) than me . emo:

Muerte, bro emo I known rules of RDL, you can be sure (the little part about servers choice is not changed from rdl#3 or even #2)

But i sure that pings in europe from america will too bad, and we will not allowed to good play for america's players - as i remember, Dami has about 100-120 in america, so america will has same in europe).
Now about home-away with america... In moscow me with 100 mbit connection has pings about 160-170 in america. Our ppl from province will has much more. It is cleary not allowed to play.

Alexyenov, 'open' for russians and invites, is not open. That's what I meant. You don't have to repeat that it's not open.

well even if i like idea to invite some strong players
imho they should be players who was placed 1-3 in all EDL Damiah, PURRI, Provi, Syanid, zorre, Gerdt, Dimmo or USA champion Scooby (im pretty sure kaby was try to contact Scooby) and DaHanG
on this way Russian players will get chance to play against strong players and improve his skill
im asked to play in RDL (not because im top player emo reason is i can talk on Serbian and half Russian will understand me, and also i can write on Serbian Cyrillic witch most Russian can read and ofc i have sympathy for Russian country emo )

We do not have purpose to make RDL as EDL clone - RDL#4 rules are strongly differents to EDL.
We wants to see some strong players in our league, so we give invites to the EDL Champion and BDL Champion - they both will give much more interest for all you to our league.

Btw both Dami and Careem showed interest in our league for lastest two seasons (RDL was hosted on Scene from 2nd season) - it is mostly good recomentation in our eyes.


Dont forgot about North America duel league, ppl.

You guys just got in your mind that winner = champion. But it's false.
Non-russian player can win RDL, but it won't make him a champion of Russia.
If you was checking out about sports more carefully, you would notice such thing as Open Championship. RDL is now open.
Playoff is FULL-single. Admins can enter admin pannel and find out what is that. In short words, every single place will be determined. So even if Damiah will win RDL, we still will find out also the best russian dueler.
So why we don't pick just everyone? Because we aim troubles that might occur in arranging matches. Because we pick players which are really interested to play some offical duels. Last because it's just our league, isn't it? We find it good, just as invited players do. That's it.

I'm just wondering why careem and dami are invited if the goal of the league is to find the best russian dueller? Dami is very likely to win and careem will probably place pretty good too, won't this just take away the focus from the best russians? Imo a showgame or something after the actual tournament would be a better idea.

I just can't understand why you would pick 2 non-russians for a russian league, enlighten me please emo

billions of russians assaulting poor Damiah trying to get 2 points from the map!

i think this will just motivate top players to be concentrated very much in games against Damiah. so everybody will have fun and the chance to improve their skills =)

we believe russian guys will not offer japanese servers to annihilate Damiah's skills =)

also as you can see in the rules our bear-powered system will provide players with same skill opponents (as close as it can be approx) - so the real challenge for 2 points will be not that rare

close games with Damiah - is our aim in this case. this is good for everybody.

except some whiners.

just because RDL is still the Russian league, and ppl who are invited to take a part since they are manner and active players and our friends still don't become russians. Our goal is to determine the Ru TOP1 dueler no matter of what. So this rule provides it pretty well.
