The regular season of Q2 has ended with EuroQ2L, NDML and EDL being over but for those of you who wants to keep their Q2 entertainment up, you can check out the 2 "local" leagues.
 BRDL aka "The Best Player 5" have just started and you will soon find the first results of the first matches.
 PTDL is also a duel league. This one is destined to Portuguese players and it's already started a week ago.

Since Polish League is over, admins of plq2, D4ru$ and danka decided to run new league - . You can say: Ok, it's just another league, we already have euroq2l, plq2 etc...But, this league has one special thing, it's maplist:

Yes, these are duel maps it's not a mistake, that's why this league isn't like the other well known leagues (plq2, euroq2l). I think it's very nice idea. First of all that's nice that after 10 years we still have some new ideas. Second of all we can expect some really unexpected scores :)

As most of you know, Dreamhack is a major gaming event in Sweden and since last year they've started running tournaments in "the best FPS-serie ever made" aka Quake of course!
They will already run tournaments in QW and Q3... Don't you find they're missing something? Like the best game among that "best fps-serie ever" made for instance? Yes they do!
That's why we need you to make sure a Quake2 tournament is organised over there.
It would be a 1v1 tournament with a 15.000 SEK (~1800 ) prize money + hardware prices.

Infos about Dreamhack
- Location: Jönköping, Sweden (2-3 hours with train from stockholm or Gothenburg)
- Date: 14-17 June 2008
- Quake2 players attending: PURRI has confirmed he'll be attending and so will probably the whole clan play.
- Other: you can sleep on place if you bring a sleepingbag, computers are available for the tournaments however there is a BYOC place if you want to practice. Hotels are also available close to the location.
This event would be a really nice place to promote Q2 so come on people, show Q2 some love! |
