For some people it can be a little suprise, but I guess it was expected. Damiah collects EDL gold medal, not the first and probably not the last time:) Sad thing is that there was no MVD as it was announced yesterday. Anyway it was a really nice match tho. Thanks DaHanG for .

FINAL STANDING
1. Damiah

PS. Ok, I lied, it wasn't a surprise that Damiah is gonna win... |

Tonight we have FINAL between Damiah and syanid. And this match will be supported by MVD GTV. And for most of you (spectors) MVD GTV is a really awesome thing, that's because you don't have to change 'server' to spec someone else. Also, there's alot of nice stuff there...
- It can really help to mvd gtv spectators - Alexyenov said.
* Score, help : show scores
* Inven : spectators list
* Channels : gtv channels list (gtv server can be connected to many servers at one time)
* Invnext, invprev, +moveup : pov change
* Observe, +attack : follow players/observer change
* Join [chan_id] : join to picked channel
* Leave : out to GTV waiting room (room with channels list)
* Set msg = "2" : mute events about kills and same.
* UF (bit-mask):
- 1 - reserved
- 2 - reserved
- 4 - force your own fov (default you see player's fov)
- 8 - mute chat of game server players and observers
- 16 - mute chat of gtv observers
* Example usage to mute flood of gtv spectators and set your own FOV:
* On q2pro client : set uf "20"
* On non-q2pro clients : /set uf 20 u"
* UF must be exported into userinfo, so on non-q2pro clients you need add " u" on the end of string. |

Rage at its last days | 2008-04-02 09:14 | SEBbull |

After the playoffs of the ninth season of EQ2L, Russian clan Rage who have been fighting for many seasons with us, will be no more. The split-up is caused mainly by disagreements between team members.
Rage line-up:
:: Vaselisa
:: Aid
:: Kabysdoh
:: Ifu
The Rage has been playing quake2 for ages. They have been doing really well, not only on the Russian scene but also on the international one. They have been the only Russian clan still participating in competitions lately. They have also been the core of the NDML8's Russian national team and did very well reaching playoffs stage and eventually placing top8.
BUT! It is not like we won't see any Russians in the next season of both NDML and EQ2L. In the place of Rage, a new team has been set up. Actually 3 out of 4 Rage players will play for the new team. The new team, temporarily known as Nova (New Original Variform Approach) who aim to become a strong team world-wide is to be seen in the upcoming quake2 season.
Nova line-up:
:: Vaselisa (leader)
:: Aid
:: k1ra
:: Ifu
:: ceLer
:: optiMus
:: AlexyeNov (aka Paradox; spokesman)
One could say, why the heck Rage didn't just change their roster. Well, it is a huge milestone for Russian community which hopes the new team will compete with the very best european teams. So, the name change is said to mean that brand new team is created and with addition to 3 Rage players, it consists of one of the best Russian players.
The Nova is most likely to be core of the Russian National Team for the ninth season of NDML.

NDML's semifinalists! | 2008-03-31 15:17 | SEBbull |
| |

|
A few days ago I wrote about , then about . After yesterday night's game and today's announcement, the remaining two semifinalists of the eighth season of the Nations Deathmatch League got known, that is Estonia and Poland.
NDML's quarterfinal: Poland [3:0] Brazil
:: q2dm2 - 105:61
:: q2dm1 - 96:77
:: q2dm3 - 130:66
Many had thought Brazil could make the game on their homemap - q2dm1 really tough for Poles. Some of you had even thought Brazil will take it. Actually, the game on The Edge was tough, but eventually Poland were the team who made it, winning it 96:77. The two other maps were more one-sided. Poland made safe frags advantages on both their homemaps - q2dm2 and q2dm3. What's interesting is the coverage of the game! The game has been shoutcasted on the by Polish players - danka, darus, zombi and Lithuanian Apkis! Big thanks for that! If you want to hear more radio shoutcasts, !
NDML's quarterfinal: Estonia [3:0] Ukraine
Ukrainians were said to have a big trouble with gathering strong 4-members-team for a playoffs game. Therefore, unfortunately, Estonia hasn't been given an opportunity to face Ukraine and to prove their superiority on quake2 maps. However, Estonia is the team to take the spot in semifinals.
NDML's semifinals pairs:
:: Finland vs Estonia
:: Sweden vs Poland
The semifinals' teams look familiar, don't they? Finland, Sweden and Poland are teams who have been reaching semifinals in all recent NDML's seasons. I guess there's hardly anyone who have thought these won't make it to the semis. Last, but not least team in the semifianls is Estonia, who have always been a good team and who can do very well (remind yourself NDML6's playoffs!). These four teams know each other very well. It will be very hard to think of any new tactics to surprise the enemy. Will any of teams even bother to think of anything new? or will they just do their job without any preperations? Who will make it to the final? Only Gravgon holds answers to these questions, so no one will know them, until games are finished! GL and HF guys! |
