 I'm not Turkish language user, but from what I've seen, the Turkish Duel League 2008 has just started.
Turkish Duel League 2007 standings reminder:

Unfortunately this time there were only half as much signups as the previous time, but still there are 10 people who want to compete to reveal the best q2 dueller in Turkey. Players were divided into two groups of 5 people each:

What's very interesting is the mappool. It differs from what we got used to - EDL's one. Well, ok. Only one map is different :p. It is headshot's GRIND (q2duel2), which isn't well-known in q2scene.net's world. Let's hope Turkish will post some demos of it on , so we could learn more about it... and who knows, maybe it will appear in EDL7.

Two weeks had passed, comments had been posted, countless discussion on irc had taken place, but now it's all over. Yes, their game has been finally played. The EDL 1/8 game between  Turricane and  optiMus. Once again, optiMus has proven his skill and Turricane had to acknowledge optiMus's superiority, this time in a 4-mapper.

Demos are yet to be uploaded, first most likely onto , then onto q2scene.net's .
This means Turricane places top16 and optiMus will have to play the last, long awaited quarter final against  Purri, who has been waiting for his opponent to be
revealed. Expect this game to be played really soon, as it is most likely that EDL admins will force the game to be played ASAP, so optiMus's and Purri's part of bracket catch up with the rest.

Just a second ago, game between Gerdt and Pogo ended. Gerdt managed to knock out Pogo in a flawless way - without a map loss.

As a result of it, Pogo places top8 in Europe, while Gerdt reaches his very first EDL semifinal. Gerdt is now to face the winner of the previous EDL season - Damiah, who in the previous round. This semifinal is most likely to be seen in near future, as Damiah is known of his impatience and craving for winning asap, but will he manage to win over Gerdt? Or maybe Gerdt will break Damiah's winning streak (18 in a row)?
Let me remind you that third semifinal spot is already taken by syanid, who won yesterday against his countryman, jakkari.

As we can see, syanid had no problems in defeating jakkari. Even on jakkari's homemap, syanid has minusized him, what proves syanid is in great shape. syanid's opponent for semifinals is yet to be determined, as one part of bracket is delayed due to Turri/Optigate.

Last couple days on our q2scene were very interesting...In we have playoffs.Here you have some results: Aone aka Roma was beaten by Damiah (), also BLAIZZ was beaten by Assasin () and today thaigo was beaten by Pogo (). Turricane was beaten by opiMus BUT this match will be replayed. If you want to know why just click . In we are now in round VIII. Many interesting matches gonna be played this week so stay tuned. Whereas in we have VII round...Also many Russians are waiting for the Grand final of between BLAIZZ and fpS. This game SUPPOSE to be played 8.03.2008 but it wasn't and I have no idea if it is rescheduled or not...If someone knows, please just leave a comment...Oh and I almost forgot...Today (11.03.2008) we will see four very interesting matches...

"PIF-PAF - TOP 10 trailer by Conm" has just been released (a couple minutes after 21.00). As you can see it's just a trailer but there was no new projects for a long long time so...Conm is a very well-known movie maker, his last projct called and was rated very well...
