DemoSquad: fancy q2dm3 jumps | 2007-04-13 16:17 | daelmun |
| |
| | |
|
For those who think jumping is the best thing since sliced bread, be sure to check out the of where a couple fancy jumps on q2dm3 have been uploaded.
q2dm3 - the frag pipe
:: :: K13-SPiRiT did a very nice doublejump on the ladder by the yellow armor towards the top of the fragpipe/supershotgun on q2dm3. The jump was made in a Ride the Rocket challenege back in 1999!
:: :: thuGGee made a similar jump influenced by the one above, but instead of jumping to the SSG, he jumped the opposite way to the quad-damage instead!
<thuGGee> for that battlemod demo i used cl_maxfps 27
<thuGGee> and cl_async 1
<thuGGee> r_maxfps 1000
:: :: feeble combines a ladderjump by yellow armor with the well-known slopejump on the fragpipe to get from yellow armor to the SSG.
q2dm2 - Tokay's towers
:: :: :: thuGGee using similar low-fps physics to do some nice doubeljumps on ladder-tops near the quad-damage and by the Red-Armor (!!) on Tokay's towers. Worth a look too. |

RA2: Forum and OGL | 2007-04-10 14:30 | daelmun |
| |
| | |
|
Since I don't see anything from the European RA2 (rocket arena 2) scene, I thought I just point out that currently the RA2 scene is probably the most active competitive mod in USA again after a fairly long break.
Online Gaming League Ladder
The is where it's at, and by the look of it there are more teams signed up than there are TDM clans in USA.
If you don't know what a ladder is, it's a ranking system where you start at the bottom of the ladder and challenge someone above your rank and play, if you win you switch place with the challenged team who drops down one rank, and each teams' win/lose ratios are updated. If you lose both teams keep their current positions and the win/lose ratios will be updated accordingly.
Ra2-Forum
Everybody knows that forums are where it's at and finally the USA RA2 scene has gotten their own where they can spread their thrashtalking and brag for the rest of us to see. Great initiative, and the colours couldn't have been better.
If anyone got anything on the RA2 scene in Europe be sure to let me know, all I know was this league that was gonna be held before christmas that never seemed to go anywhere. |
