Our own q2-historybook  Muerte has made a great forumpost with links to Ride The Rocket trick-demos from the late 1990s where players each week battled for making the most fancy trickjump clip for each challenge given.

Of course he has made a similar post with fresh movies made out of old demos and recams to make the quake2-lore pass on to new generations without the need of the game itself, or for old q2-players to get a nostalgic lookat how the game was back in the days.

After a successful tournament, the final of is ready to be played. Well, actually it's partially played already as 2 maps were finished earlier yesterday:

fpS is coming from the loserbrackets and therefore has to win two matches unless I'm totally mistaken, and this far it's 1-1 in maps in the first match, that will be played best out of 5 maps (if I'm not even more mistaken).

After checking the IP of the Croatian  Awesome-player Emti and the banned player from last season dx, they came out identical and as a result the admins of has decided that dx is given a permanent ban from the league as well as all Awesome's games where dx played are turned into w/o.

Heyas, been a while since I've been around! I wasn't supposed to be away this long anyway. But took a minor holiday a few weeks back, and as I got home I started up my computer it just died, according to my brother it was the motherboard that had had enough. But I've had a really busy time in my job as well outside so getting my computer back up wasn't really a high priority.
Anyway, it seems to work now, and as I have easter holiday now I'm having plenty sparetime, and I'll hopefully manage to catch up on the q2scene, and now that I even got a working mouse again I'll do some playing too >;D! |
