With this game the Q2 TDM OpenCup Fall 2006 is almost over, with only the Bronze final between  Solaris and Kontula left to be played.
Farewell to  sovet
With this cup coming to its end, the cup supervisor sovet from the q2-scene, due conflicting real life schedule. So, big thanks to sovet who with  Morpheus made this season what it was, and showed some dedication to the league that is admireable.

provi won the final of the 4th in a match that proved to be every inch as exciting and tense as it promised to be. Damiah didn't manage to challenge provi's great play and aim, and lost the two first maps with a small margin after a failed comeback attempt and a lost lead. The last two maps weren't as close, but still a great watch!

Finally after months of waiting the (NiDML) has opened the signups as well as the league-setup. The 4v4 league will be run with a no-nonsense attitude and is intented to be an addition to the already established , not to replace it. The aim is to bring back the fun of fragging in a fairly controlled environment.
League format
:: two divisions, one group each
:: teams play eachother once, points awarded for map wins (only two maps played each match)
:: no playoffs, top #3 in Division 1 gets awards
:: top two in Division 2 wins promotion to Div1, bottom two in Division 1 are relegated to Div2
:: No scheduling: div1 games are played Mondays, div2 games Tuesdays

Damiah managed to win zorre 3:0 in the last semifinal of the , in a game that went back and forth in waves more than many expected. Damiah won ptrip after zorre really gave him a run for the money with very impressive aim. Whether it being nerves and/or mousetrouble, both players made some critical mistakes through the course of the games, but in the end Damiah was the better player winning the last two maps.
