A new site dedicated to Quake2 has been put up, . It has a nice collection of q2 related links and some useful files available for downloading (like the original (180mb) from the 3.19 version, needed if you install q2 from the demo version). There is also , and recent news related to q2 is also posted.
The site is pretty much based around the FFA servers Q2madhouse located in the USA (a q2dm1 server, and a q2dm8 server, as well as a osp tourney server), ran by  Shovel.Ds, and the players frequenting those servers.

How to sign up
Create a username and log onto the site, then go to "competitions" in your profile menu, then go to "Quake 2" when asked to chose game, pick 1v1 and sign up!

- Models: Players must use the default models included with the game.

 Euroq2l and ClanBase forced anticheat.dll for future games, so therefore servers should be also up to date. We also know that serveradmins arent always too cooperative for new changes so we tried to make as easy manual as possible for them.
So here is all you need to do to make your server support anticheat.dll, which is the best anticheat in years. All credits from that goes to r1ch! I think everyone can agree if I send the biggest thanks to r1ch for his awesome work!

Allthough I have somewhat lacked coverage of the , it isn't to say that nothing is happening there! We're now closing in on the playoffs, with only in the group-play:  bS vs  Solaris, which is forced to 29.01.2007 22.30CET.

The has been plagued by inactivity and clans dying, so finally the playoffs were forced in order to keep the league from dying.
Anyway, the seems to suffer quite a bit from the inactivity in the league, but hopefully the best clans will make it all the way through anyhow!
