 Finally the EDC#2 has finished, and this time around  wst came out on top, beating  kolt in the grand final (it turned out the game never was played though, since kolt wasn't able to find time for playing the final)

EDC#3:
EDC#3 is going to be played on Sunday the 3rd of December, and it's finished the next day (Monday the 4th of December). As usual the playerlimit is 32, and the tourney is double elimination.

The Euro Duel Cup is still in progress and on Thursday we will see the final games being played. wst has gone undefeated through the upper bracket and is facing the winner of Kolt and mRpH.

Over at (a  North-American based q2-community) the preparations for the 3rd Tasty500 tourney (previous ones all being won by Elysium) are moving alone just fine. Voting on maps and powerups are finished, and a date is already set.
What is Tasty500?
The concept is as easy as it gets: the first one to reach 500 frags wins. It's standard FFA (Free For All) deathmatch, with weaponstay enabled. Whether to use powerups or not is decided by vote, the same goes for the map. There is no timelimit.
When: Sunday 19th 10:00pm EST (04:00 CET)
Where:
SERVER: tastyspleen.net:27999
MAP: (with server-side entity )
The server is in USA, so any european wanting to participate would have to struggle with 100+ ping, but it's all for fun. The time is also a bit Euro unfriendly. |

Over at they're trying to put together a , where more experienced q2-players will share their knowledge with newer players.
Everyone knows how steep the learning curve in quake2 is for a new player, maybe this will prove to help fresh blood into the game, or making the casual FFA'er venture into different mods of the game to keep the different communities alive.
Being the child of [BTF]DeathStalker, the concept has grown quickly and is now including USA NDML captain DaHanG who is holding sessions on duel strategy on ventrilo. While others focus on other areas of the game, such as jumps and railz.
An intresting concept, will be intresting to see how it will evolve.

After coming from the loserbracket, Blaizz managed to win 4 straight maps against  fpS to take home the RDL () trophy.

Hopefully defending champion  Damiah will play Blaizz in a showgame tomorrow (16th of November). However it's not yet confirmed, so I'll edit this newspost as soon as I know for sure.
Big thanks to AlexyeNov for a great league. GTV coverage of the final games when possible, and also a well run tournament as far as I can tell. So hopefully we will see another season of RDL! And SkulleR's GTV is a great improvement upon q2tv!
