The intrest for the 4th season of EDL has been massive. The proof is that the playerlimit was rised from 40 to 64. Now signups are closed, and the admins Pogo and ph have spent some hours trying to get 8 fairly equal groups consisiting of 8 players out of the 64 signups.
Find the . Top 3 from each group will advance. The league kicks off next Monday (13th of November).

The for the next European Duel Cup (this time around ran over 2 days) have already started.
Deadline for signups is Saturday 18th of November
The cup will start at 16:00 CET on Sunday 19th of November. It will be ran over 2 days, so the final rounds will be played on Monday the 20th of November.

seems to be moving along nicely, with several games being played last weekend. I can't cover all games played, but there were some intresting ones being played for sure!
DIVISION I
We saw the Finnish powerhouse  (2.0) beat the always strong lineup from HBQ in two straight maps. Allthough they won 2-0 in maps, judging by the scores the game seemed to be pretty close. I fear HBQ will only use this defeat to motivate them even more for the upcoming playoffs (if they'll get there of course)!

Another Finnish clan, Kontula, has struggled greatly to win those close games. Finally they seemed to have luck on their side and beat the Polish gentlemen over at tOk 2-1 in maps, after tOk allowed q2dm2 being restarted after several players from the KTA team timed out a bit into the game. Hats off!

DIVISION II
Over in division II Clan Disable is continuing their winning spree, demolishing their Polish opponents foV 2-0. They seem to be heading for the victory in their division, judging by their performance this far!

Over at the the playoffs are closing in on the grand finale. In the loserbracket we saw  nol1ght take down Notorious in an uneven battle pingwise, but still showed some nice skills. In the winnerbracketfinal fpS took down Blaizz in a very exciting and close game.

The RDL is to end before the EDL kicks off, so hopefully we will see the show-game between the winner of RDL vs the winner of last season , Damiah.
GTV
SkulleR (the creator of the quake2 client/server ) is currently working on a new GTV engine for quake2. It was tested during the loserbracket game between nol1ght and Notorious, and proved to be working very well already! So hopefully the final matches of the RDL as well as EDL will be available for everyone to watch on GTV (even with multiview enabled on q2pro servers) :) |

After the very successful of EDL (European Duel League) ran by Kicia and Syanid, Pogo and ph will now be running a of the league.
The general layout of the league seems to be the same, allthough minor changes have been done to the . First off, homemap can be changed for each game, and two maps in the maplist have to be eliminated by the players by voting before the league kicks off (match1, q2duel1(aeroq2), q2rdm7 and q2dm2). Cast your vote by commenting on the .

Sign up , there will be a playerlimit of 40, allthough it may be extended if enough players show intrest in participating!
