 Careem and his gang of admins have evaluated the first attempt on running the (a 1 day duel tourney), and they realized running a double elimination tourney with 32 contestants was hard within the 1 day timespan. Instead they've , which should make it easier to fit the schedule.
The question is of course:
Which 2 days are best suited for running the EDC?

Two of the favorites to win this season of were playing eachother yesterday.
The game between  play and  Wizards proved to be a close matchup, with each team taking one map each with a small margin. However play was the stronger team on q2dm7, and won the game 2:1 in maps.

The is moving along just fine, and they have already reached the after finishing two groupstage rounds. The playoffs are true double elimination, meaning there will be a loserbracket. The one coming from loserbracket into the grand finale, has to win 2 sets of best out of 3 maps. Read more about the .

The European Duel Cup was won by  Wision, who defeated Jakkari in the grand final, after knocking the same player down to the loserbracket in the winnerbracket final.
The tournament seemed to be a bit chaotic at times, with several players having to give w/o due conflicting schedules with other cups, as well as some no-shows in the early rounds. However the cup was still going on around 1-2am CET on Monday, so gotta give credit to everyone showing up, and certainly to the admins and the finalists ;D

New version and many changes most of them are about teams management. I had to change every database query for this update, so may notice some errors => notify me ASAP. Remember that its still beta version.

Since Careem is busy spamming on irc and in comments to demos at the moment, I'd put it upon myself to make a newspost about the upcoming
It's a 1 day 1v1 tourney that's held on the 22th of October. Each round is planned to be played within 30 minutes, and the rounds are played best out of 3 maps.
