The signups are now closed and we didn't reach the 64 teams needed for a full playoff tree. We have 43 clans signed up instead, which isn't bad for such an old game as quake2 is. Just because of this old game and the lack of real competition I decided to give every signed up team a chance to play in the league. Therefore there will be a qualification round. More about this? Read on!
Now 21 teams have been selected to enter the league immediately. These teams have been selected on different bases such as participation in previous editions, skill and activeness. These teams will not play in the qualification round and will start playing next week.
Important #1
Every participating team has to edit their clan info and squad in the profile menu on the left! If you can't manage to do it or if you don't have the clanleader rights you can ask me for help on irc or via q2scene messenger!
Important #2
As said before the remaining 22 teams will have to play one qualification game. This way 32 teams will last and the real league can start. The deadline for this qualification game is next thursday (12th of october) at 21.00 CET. In other words: you have one week to buy yourself a ticket to the playoffs!

Signups for 2x2? III are now open. The first 32 signed up teams will play in the league. Expansion is possible if at least 64 teams are signed up.
Signups end on thursday 5 october!

Which changes so far?
In 2x2? III we will have:
- A loser bracket starting from the 1/4 finals (77% voted for this)
- q2next1 out of the maplist (67% pro votes)
- q2rdm2 out of the maplist (52% pro votes)
- Two new maps : ztn2dm3 and q2dm7 (polled)
- Semifinals and Finals will be played best-of-5 (in both brackets)
Now please vote on the poll for the map that will replace q2next1!
