Finally it was played, the most anticipated game of the groupstage according to several FoJ members. I pretty much stumbled upon the game by an accident when I saw Nybar on a server and wanted to check out what he was up to. Apparently he was there for a NADML game.
Anyway, the game was about to kick off, maps being q2dm1 and q2dm2 with q2dm8 as the decider (in case that was needed).

Q2DM1 - THE EDGE
Well, this was a pretty good q2dm1 game for a change. Wasn't paying die hard attention really, but it seemed like Shiningforce managed to get a bit of a lead on the FoJ team from the beginning which they held for a while. At around 45 frags, the game was pretty much tied though. What we saw from the two teams were DaHanG as usual having mad luck, hitting suddenly 4-5 rails in a row after missing every other shot. Think Nybar commented on the fact that shiningfroce weren't really playing positions, so not entirely sure what each and everyone of them were doing for the entire match. After yet another lucky fragstreak by DaHanG the game seemed to turn in FoJ's favour. Near the end Paradiselost, who had been having a pretty good last part abusing his ping, managed to stay hidden in the sewers with a SSG he dropped every now and then. He died of course, but FoJ still won.
Q2DM2 - TOKAY'S TOWERS
Tokay's tower is always a winner in my book, the map just screams for nade attacks on RA/rail lift. And on shiningforce we have the masternader himself, Rigg5. Among the spectators they were betting on how many nade frags he would get. Others were focusing their attention to our lone hero: paradiselost. Best player to spec according to some, and he once again showed us why. It soon became clear that Rigg5-nading and the paradiselost-spectating were tightly knit. Whenever a nade was tossed near the RA-lift, paradiselost seemed to be right there catching it. I can't say I know much about quad for this game, paradise just wouldn't go anywhere near it. But he and Krez held onto the lift, and while Krez was busy railing, paradiselost was busy chasing nades. The game once again was very close, think shiningforce got the most quadruns to begin with as they seemed to be having a slight lead. Then FoJ once again caught up, even getting the upper hand. Near the end we saw a sf-quadrun almost making it look like a small comeback. But it was only 10 seconds left, and then DaHanG had 2 lucky nadefrags in a row and the game was over.
Good games, was entertaining to watch. Two of my favorite maps were played as well, which is a good thing of course. Maybe shiningforce can get scooby back in time for the playoffs? Now that would be another great game worth seeing in my book.
