This is something I will be doing every week. Basically it will be a preview of what's expected to be the most entertaining and important match of the week. The lineups I list may not be accurate but they will be based on members' previous activity in NADML games and word of mouth (if any) of who's playing.
Round IV, aR vs vA: Q2DM6, Q2DM7, Q2DM1
Sunday @ 10 Eastern (4/30)
aR's expected lineup:
Rehash, Man!pulator, B100D, Digency
vA's expected lineup:
Ghost9, kickr0, The_King, Leopard
Q2DM6: aR > vA
This map goes to aR because of their experience on it. With both Rehash and Man!pulator having NDML experience, they are quite familiar with the map and how to work it. I see Rehash being the main quad guy, and out aiming Valiant between runs. Man!pulator i expect to lounge around the RA area, and perhaps controlling the BFG for some easy frags. Digency and B100D are going to try to hold their own, but good play by their teammates will be enough for the win.
Valiant I just don't see having those quad runs they'll need, and I think we'll see a lot of roaming Leopard and The_King that will lead to quick deaths. kickr0 will do what he can at rail, but it won't be enough to overcome aR. If someone like Ghost plays the defensive role on quad (killing the enemy as he comes up the ladder) they stand a chance. I see chaos and randomness, however, and it will likely lead to a loss.
Q2DM7: vA > aR
Again I see Digency and B100D not really playing positions effectively, but they certainly can contribute and not bring the team down. Rehash is expected to do a lot of dirty work running around with little health and a mediocre weapon. Man!pulator i suspect will be patient at the rocket launcher, and retaking RA room on occassions. There will be no long term map control for either team on this map. I think this favors Valiant since just looking at their roster, they look slightly stronger.
This will be heaven for The_King. A perfect oppurtunity to jump around carelessly with weak weapons and/or little ammo and still make a huge positive impact. If he combines his aim, DM skills, and some strategy, I expect a close win for Valiant. Kickr0, Leopard, and Ghost should all have about a 45-55% efficiency with The_King around 65% and a ton of kills/deaths.
Q2DM1: aR > vA
As we come to a map B100D knows very well, aR gets a huge boost. Once Rehash gets rail and Man!pulator establishes lift control, the game is practically over. Digency should have a solid performance helping out when needed in mega and making few mistakes.
This victory won't come easy for aR, and with The_King on q2dm1 you don't really know if you're getting a score of 5-30 or 30-5. Once kickr0 gets a rail, this game can go in vA's favor though. I don't expect much map control from this team, and I think it will cost them in the long run. aR is definitely going into this match with The Edge.
aR > vA 2:1
