In this news item, I'm going to give you some informations about the groups (that you can see on your right), the schedules and on the PlayOffs system!
Groups
15 teams have signed up, we thought it was better to have 2 big groups instead of 4 tiny ones. The PlayOff system has been adapted according to it.
We tried to have the groups the most balanced possible. We took consideration of the skills, the insta experience and the pings (when it was possible).
I think the groups are pretty well balanced and if you think they aren't... don't worry and wait for the playoff system explaination!
Schedules
Schedules have been generated randomly, 1 round = 1 week but we are more flexible with the schedules than in CB cups.
If BOTH teams agree to postpone a match, we will always agree. However, we encourage you not to play the matches before the dates planned for the corresponding round.
The first round starts right now and end on Tuesday the 18th of April. We gave you a bit more time for this round as you couldn't really schedule it beforehand.
How to schedule a game?
Once you have contacted your opponent and you have agreed upon a date, you have to contact one of the admins to tell them the date and time. We will put it up on the website.
PlayOffs
This is my favourite part! After the poll, we noticed you wanted a double-elimination system for the playoffs. But you also seemed to want them with ice and rather shaken' than stirred...

Double-elimination:
For those who didn't know, I will explain how it works:
The principle is that all the teams that reached the playoffs have 2 chances before getting knocked out.
All teams start in the Winner-Bracket, once they lose a match... They "fall" in the Loser-Bracket. If they lose again in the Loser-Bracket, they are knocked out.
The Grande Finale of the league is played between the Winner of the Winner-Bracket versus the Winner of the Loser-Bracket. However, the team that comes from the LB have to win 2 best of 5 against the WB one.
That was the principle...
With ice, shaken' not stirred
As we have only 2 groups, if we follow the usual procedure for such a playoff system, only the 2 best teams of each group would qualify and we wouldn't have 1/4 finals...
But it WON'T be the case. Basically, the 4 best teams of each groups qualify for the playoffs. The 2 best ones start in the Winner-Bracket (1/2 finals) while the 3rd and 4th places of each groups have to play against each other... in the 1/4 of the Loser-Bracket.
